The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said it plans to issue its first bond to finance clean energy projects in Asia. The development bank said it would match the amount raised by the bond, which is expected to be released later this month and would target Japanese investors.

Global adoption of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) as well as battery electric vehicles (BEVs) is expected to total 3.2 million between 2010 and 2015, with a compound annual growth rate of 106 per cent, according to a new report from Pike Research.
